→ For Cooking
15 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
16 - 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
# Steps:
01 - Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange frozen dumplings in a single layer and cook 2 to 3 minutes until the bottoms turn golden brown.
02 - Add 2 tablespoons water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam dumplings for 3 to 4 minutes then remove the lid and cook an additional 1 to 2 minutes until crisp. Transfer dumplings to a plate and set aside.
03 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Sauté sliced onion for 2 minutes until translucent.
04 - Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and julienned carrot. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
05 - Incorporate sliced cabbage and sliced green onions. Continue sautéing, stirring frequently, until cabbage wilts and begins to brown, about 6 minutes.
06 - Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
07 - Pour the sauce over the vegetable mixture. Toss thoroughly and cook for an additional 2 minutes to meld flavors.
08 - Arrange the crispy dumplings atop the sautéed cabbage mixture. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and extra sliced green onions.
09 - Serve immediately, directly from the skillet.
